Nestled in the serene landscape of Mysore, this residence is envisioned as a peaceful sanctuary for a retired army family—a space where they can unwind, host gatherings, and immerse themselves in their passions. The architectural design seamlessly integrates contemporary elements with the natural environment, fostering a dialogue between built form and landscape.
Drawing inspiration from vernacular sensibilities, the façade is articulated through the use of locally sourced materials and intricate jalis, allowing for a dynamic interplay of light and shadow. The design prioritizes openness and spatial fluidity, creating a home that breathes with its surroundings.
Inside, a neutral palette serves as a timeless backdrop, enriched with textural contrasts and punctuated by curated views of the landscape. Natural light filters through carefully placed openings, animating the interiors and fostering a sense of warmth and tranquility. The home is conceived as an evolving canvas, accommodating the client’s growing collection of artwork and seamlessly adapting to their changing lifestyle needs.
This residence is not just a dwelling but an experience—an architectural expression of comfort and personal identity.
